Our R2/R2 Pro roasting workshop is tailored to your needs and experience to get your roasting journey with the Bullet off to a flying start!
 
What will you learn on our workshop?
Green coffee introduction - Types of coffee beans, processes and how to use coffee bean information to dictate roast profiles
Operating your roaster - Learn your way around the bullet, familiarise yourself with the new controls and features introduced with the R2 range and complete a roast from start to finish
Roast Profiles - Using RoasTime software to create roast profiles, analyse roast curves and adjust profiles accordingly and take advantage of the new additional power stages and higher precision to create even better profiles and roast even better coffee
Coffee cupping - Taste and compare roasts via cupping, using cupping results to make improvements to roast profiles
Roast.World Platform - An introduction into the Roast.World platform, downloading and sharing roast profiles, storing inventories and connecting with other Bullet users
Machine maintenance - Learn how to take care of your Bullet, learn about the new cleaning alerts and QuickClean features introduced with the R2 Range. Learn which things to clean, how to clean them and how often they should be cleaned.
Ventilation - Advice on ventilation set ups and product recommendations 
 
This workshop lasts 5 hours and costs £300 (inc VAT). 
 
Before your Workshop:
Prior to your course we will arrange a quick call with you to understand what you are looking to get from your Bullet, your prior roasting experience and any skills you are particularly interested in developing. With this information we will tailor and plan the workshop to suit your specific needs so that you can leave feeling excited and confident to start roasting with your Bullet.
We will also go over what you need to bring with you on the day.
We will provide unroasted coffee beans for roasting, or you can bring along your own beans!
 
Where is the workshop and how do I book?
The workshops are held at our Roastery at Mocha Mondo Coffee Limited, Unit 6D Coquet Enterprise Park, Amble, Morpeth, NE65 0PE.
Our workshops usually take place on Wednesdays (1pm start), Saturdays and Sundays (11am start). Please email us at aillioroasters@gmail.com or call us on 01665 714767 to select a date either prior to or after you have purchased your workshop ticket(s).
If you are travelling far and need an overnight stay, there is plenty of accommodation in the area (and plenty of things to do and see in beautiful Northumberland)!
 
We have successfully delivered Aillio Bullet workshops for three years now. As we use the Aillio Bullet daily for our own Roasting business, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Our Head of Coffee, Connor, is happy to share all he has learned over the years, roasting on the Aillio Bullet, with you.
